| Over the past twenty years
we have conserved or restored many modern and contemporary sculptures
for private collectors, galleries and museums. We frequently conserve sculptures made from plaster, wax, resin, plastics, found objects, soap, electric light and organic materials such as hair or chocolate. Such materials are vulnerable to the progress of time, as well as to damage through frequent shipping and re-exhibiting. We have extensive experience in the researching and testing of new methods of conservation that can be safely applied to diverse modern materials, as well as good knowledge of contemporary paint systems and colouring techniques. We can also assist contemporary artists to construct or finish their pieces (including leaf gilding) and are happy to advise on the suitability of materials, surface finishes, methods of construction and security fixing.
